| I Hate The Internet - 23 March 2006 I have been having problems with the internet ,I cannot download ,I cannot upload I hate Blueyonder!!!. Recently due to a change in Job I changed my internet provider ,all was well for the first two months then it got worse ,the standard response is it will be updated soon etc.. I had enough I asked the bloke if I was to complain about you who would I speak to,If I was to complain about them who would I speak to ,I kept going until I found someone who had the guts to tell me the real story. There is a problem in my "area" it is being upgraded but only in April /May ,untill such time I have free internet ,Joy you might say ,its slower than dial up !!! so until such time as a. It gets upgraded b. I change provider c. I give up !! The post and updates might be a bit lacking ,I will do my best to update if the net lets me !! (full story) |

| USB Sticks - 11 March 2006 Usb Sticks ,Pen Drives,Usb Keys ,Removeable Storage... The industry needs to make a there mind up on what they are called but my point here is SECURITY or the lack of. So usb sticks are better than floppy disks you tell me. I had a conversation re the pen drive was better than the floppy because there is less chance of a virus being spread ! Ok hears my thoughts Floppy Disk 1.4mb usb 32mb - 4GB (seen an 8GB the other day ,far to pricy at this time) anyway the maths for this I will use a 64mb usb stick lets assume the "Virus" is 1mb so on one floppy disk you will get 1 "virus" on one 64mb usb stick you will get 64 "virus" now lets say you give a usb stick to 50 of your staff thats 50 x 1 =50 (for floppy disk) or 50 x 64 = 3200 (for usb stick) read more (full story) |
